The Glazing Sun is colorful, FUNctional pottery that brings joy and happiness to people. This world needs more color and Alana believes with her functional art, she can add more color into peoples lives when they use their Glazing Sun piece. Alana was a nursing major working at a local pottery shop - she quickly realized that she needed to follow her heart and make a career of her artsiness. She changed her major to business because she fell in love with the nature of how the small business she worked at was being ran. 7 years later now, she has her own shop where she sells an assortment of her pottery and other artsy items and the other half of the shop is a pottery painting studio! People can come and express their own creativity by selecting a piece and glazing it - she fires it in the kiln and they come back a week later to pick up their creations. She loves seeing the reaction of her customers when they see what they made.
