Custom Overglaze Decal Sheet - Customers Design

CUSTOM DECAL SHEET MADE WITH YOUR DESIGN. (please read this in its entirety before purchasing)

This listing is for one sheet and includes a $15 set up fee for a basic set up (anything that takes longer than 20 min will be charged at a rate of $50/hr.) Each additional sheet after the first one is $25 with a 10% price break at 10 sheets. You will receive an invoice for any additional sheets after you approve your design.

Please email the following after you check out to info@elantransfers.com

1. Your image(s) with your order number and same in the subject line. These images should ideally be in a AI or vector form however we can try to work with whatever you have. We will let you know if your file is unsuitable to use and you can update it or cancel your order.

2. A description of how you want the images to be laid out and dimensions that you want each image / logo to be. 

3. If you need multiple sheets please let me know. 

4. Let me know if you will be reordering at a later date so I can save your file and you will not need to pay the set up fee again. 

I will send you a screen shot proof for you to sign off on and then production will begin. Please keep in mind colors will be close but not exact. Water slide overglaze decals are for use on glaze fired pottery. Please allow 1-3 weeks for shipping.

🔥 Kiln Fired Decals:

Our kiln fired overglaze decals are food safe and lead free They should be applied after your ceramic piece has been glaze fired and work best over a white or light-colored glaze as they are semitransparent. Full application instructions can be viewed here: Elan Transfers Application Instructions

• Each sheet measures 10.3" x 7.8" of usable design area, and decals can be cut out and applied individually for custom placement.
• Food safe, lead-free, and durable
• Microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe
• Skill level: 5/5 - Advanced; may take some practice.

Note: A thin yellow flux coating will burn off during firing, leaving a glossy clear finish.

Perfect for crafters without a kiln! Our oven fired decals are good for use on already glazed ceramics. For example; ring dishes, wall plates, ornaments, or decorative plates. Full application instructions can be viewed here: Elan Transfers Application Instructions

• Each sheet measures 11" x 8" of usable design area, and decals can be cut out and applied individually for custom placement
• NOT food safe and NOT durable. More for decoration
• NOT dishwasher safe
• Skill level: 5/5 - Advanced; may take some practice

• Made exclusively for Elan Transfers
• A faint raised outline may appear where the decal is trimmed. Cut close to the design for a seamless finish
• Color results may vary depending on glaze, clay body, firing temp, and your screen display

🔥 Underglaze Transfers

Our underglaze transfers are lead-free, food-safe, and screen printed on rice paper - perfect for greenware or bisqueware. They fire up to cone 10. For best results, use a zinc-free clear glaze.

Application on a wet clay slab:

• Apply the Transfer: Lay the transfer face-down on your clay. Use a well-wrung sponge to gently press from the center outward.
• The design will darken slightly as it adheres.
• Check and Adjust: Slowly peel a corner to check for full transfer.
• Press again with a sponge or finger if needed.
• Remove and Dry: When satisfied with transfers, remove paper, and allow transfer and clay to dry fully.

These can also be applied to leather hard or bisque.

🔥 Kiln Fired Overglaze Decals

Water slide overglaze decals are food safe and lead free. They should be applied after your ceramic piece has been glaze fired and they work best over a white or light-colored glaze as they are semitransparent.

• Clean the Surface: Wipe surface with rubbing alcohol.
• Pre-warm China: Soak in hot water (115–125°F) for a few minutes. Leave surface wet for easier decal manipulation.
• Prep the Decal: Trim design keeping mind there will be a faint raised line where your cut lines are. Soak decal in a bowl of warm water until the backing becomes movable (about 3 -5 seconds).
• Apply the Decal: Carefully slide the decal onto the wet piece being careful not to touch the back where the adhesive is. Slide the decal into position and gently smooth from the center out to remove air and water bubbles.
• Dry Thoroughly: Let dry completely (6+ hours or overnight).
• Fire: Once fully dry, fire at cone 012 on slow.

♨️ Oven Fired Overglaze Decals

Safe to use on pre-made pottery that is oven safe up to 375°. For example; ring dishes, wall plates, ornaments, or decorative plates. These are not food or dishwasher safe and are for decorative use only.

• Clean the Surface: Wipe surface with rubbing alcohol.
• Pre-warm China: Soak in hot water (115–125°F) for a few minutes. Leave surface wet for easier decal manipulation.
• Prep the Decal: Trim design keeping mind there will be a faint raised line where your cut lines are. Soak decal in a bowl of warm water until the backing becomes movable (about 3 -5 seconds).
• Apply the Decal: Carefully slide the decal onto the wet piece being careful not to touch the back where the adhesive is. Slide the decal into position and gently smooth from the center out to remove air and water bubbles.
• Dry Thoroughly: Let dry completely (6+ hours or overnight).
• Cure in Oven: Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Add time for thicker pieces. If clear areas brown, lower the temp slightly.
